2:00 PM – 3:15 PM  Workshop:  Eventing Games

Eventing has its roots in a comprehensive cavalry test which required mastery of several types of riding.  Everything about the Eventing Games, the equestrian event where a single horse and rider combination compete against other combinations across the three disciplines of dressage, cross-country and jumping, is to measure the balance of qualities in the horse and rider.  Cross-Country requires both horse and rider to be in excellent physical shape and to be brave and trusting of each other.  At Equus IPPE we substitute an Obstacle Course done with the Pony Blindfolded. This workship will look at the Equus IPPE course patterns, the details and nuances of the games, tips on how to do well in a game, when form or speed  matters, how the games at Equus IPPE are judged, and practice runs by attendees as time permits.

There are few rules you need to follow to make a harness that is comfortable, practical and good-looking, but the things you learn during this class ensures that your end product will satisfy the most picky pony player – instead of wasting that nice material you just spent so much money on.

The hunt for the perfect hoof boots”

We all want them. We all dream about them. That perfect triangular foot profile, that distinct clippety-clop sound… But how to accomplish the perfect hoof boots? We have two carts.  Participants who bring carts are welcome to drive to Kenneth Hahn Park and bring their cart.
